A Night to Remember!

The Christmas Program under the direction of Mrs. Joanie Ballard was breath-taking! With the help of several elves (Lois Rogers, Mandy & Tim Gill, Cindy Middleton, Tammy Rich, and Paul & Cathy Rizzo) the students performed beautifully.

A very special thank you goes to our students for giving such a special Christmas gift to their families.  And I can’t forget to thank the teachers for their unwavering patience and organizational skills.

Finally, a thank you to Melissa Bottorf and the PTO for recognizing the dedication of Mrs. Donna Shank (30 years of service) and Mrs. Helen Connor (31 years of service) to LHCS.  The clock that was presented to each of them is a symbol of how much we appreciate all of their “time” and effort over the years.

Warm the World with Your Service

During this Advent season, the students have been getting their hearts ready for Jesus by doing good deeds and service for others.  As they perform a service, they write their deed on a paper mitten and hang it on a ribbon in the school hallway.

It’s exciting to watch all the warmth grow as all of the mittens are hung! We have phenomenal, caring students at Lock Haven Catholic School! If you have a moment, stop in to see the Holy Spirit alive in our children and school. We are truly spreading the Good News of Jesus!

THERE WILL BE NO BUSING ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 18TH. PLEASE PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION BOTH WAYS!

Family Night a Success!

wreath

There was a tremendous turnout for the family wreath and swag making night! The families that attended had a wonderful time making the Christmas decorations, eating cookies, drinking hot cocoa, and sharing in fellowship.

A special thank you to Mrs. Loretta Jones and Mrs. Julie Bashore for organizing the event, Mr. Tom Piergallini for cutting the greens, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Cathy Rizzo for being such great teachers in making wreaths!

Final Thoughts:

  • If there is a change in dismissal for your child, please send a note to school in the morning.  This is especially important for our younger students.
  • The last day of school before the Christmas break is December 18th – THERE IS NO BUSING that day – School will resume on January 4th. Have a Blessed and Restful Christmas and New Year!
