Reverse Trick-or-Treating
I want to thank everyone for making our first “Reverse Trick-or-Treating” through Equal Exchange a huge success. I was able to distribute all of the “treats” within two days of the flyer going home! If you are participating, I hope your family has a fun time giving treats to houses you visit on Halloween. I am interested in any feedback. That way, if it is offered again next year, I’ll know if I should schedule us to participate, and possibly order more treats!
Thank you Tatiana!
The school recently received an order of leveled reading books, art posters and transparencies, reader’s theater scripts, and other items totaling $1,000 from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company. Why?...you may be asking... because Tatiana in sixth grade knows how to spell! Some of you might remember that in May, Tatiana won the Diocesan Spelling Bee for the second year in a row. The school received a grant from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for $1,000 to purchase items out of their catalog. Tatiana won a $100 dollar savings bond for herself as well. We want to thank Tatiana for hard work. Her success will benefit all of the students in our school for years to come.
Posting Pictures
As parents, we love to take pictures of our children during important times in their lives, including class events. Often, classmates are also in those pictures. Many people then like to post those pictures on their Facebook page to show family and friends what their children are doing. Before posting pictures of children other than yours, please check with the parents of any child that might be in the picture to make sure they approve of the posting. Some parents do not want their children’s images to appear on the internet.
