School Web Site

If you haven’t seen it lately, take a moment and check out our school web site, www.lhcs.org. Mrs. Dietrich does a great job of keeping information updated. It is also a wonderful way for you to see what your child is doing at school!

Candle Sale

PTO is starting their annual candle sale. This is a fantastic opportunity to purchase gifts for Christmas. Mrs. Rae has created a wonderful display of several of the candle choices in the hallway outside of the Music Room. Stop in to smell the different scents and look at the different sizes. The candles should be here for delivery by Thanksgiving!

Cold Weather...

is coming...and in some respects already here. Please make sure your child is dressed accordingly. Even if it gets warm in the afternoon, it is still cold in the morning. Please send your child to school with a jacket for morning recess time.

Magazine Results:

We want to thank everybody who participated in our annual magazine sale! We did fall short of our goal, but we are hoping to get closer with our out of town booklets. Here are the top sellers by grade: Kindergarten – Hannah, First – Carolina, Second – Sarah, Third – James, Fourth – Callan, Fifth – Becky, and Sixth – Alex. Top seller for the sale was Sarah and Nolan won the “Jackpot” winning $147. Thank you and congratulations to you all!

Final Thoughts:

  • Thank you to all parents who volunteered to be “Room Parents”! Good luck as you prepare for the Halloween festivities.
  • Mrs. Sanders has asked me to remind all families to send milk and lunch money in on the first day of the week.
  • Keystone Central does not have school on Friday, October 23rd...there will be NO BUSING. Please provide transportation on that day. If this is a problem contact the school office.
  • Please return conference papers as soon as possible to ensure the date and time that works best for you. Don’t forget to add any itinerate teacher that may work with your child...Mrs. Rae (Library/Novels), Mrs. Snyder (Title 1), Mrs. Condo (Enrichment/Remedial Math), Mrs. Parmele (Guidance), and Mrs. Acquino (Speech).
  • As we continue to do extra cleaning and sanitizing as a proactive approach to the flu, we are using a lot of paper towels. If anybody is able to donate paper towels toward the cause, we would greatly appreciate it.
