| The Pilgrims were a group of religious people who wanted to love and obey God in their own way. |
| They were not allowed to do this in their country of England and they decided they had to leave. |
| The Pilgrims found some other brave people who wanted to start a new life. |
| Together 102 people left England in September 1620 on a ship called the Mayflower. |
